Pipe Layer
Location: Local (On-Site)
Type: Full-Time
As a Pipe Layer at Bayard Construction Group, you’ll be responsible for installing underground utilities with accuracy and care. From stormwater systems to sanitary sewer and water lines, your work forms the backbone of every civil project we build.
You’ll work directly in the trenches—reading grade, aligning pipe, setting structures, and ensuring each system is installed per spec. This is a great fit for someone who knows the details matter and isn’t afraid to get their hands dirty to do it right the first time.
Responsibilities:
Install sewer, storm, and water piping systems to grade and spec
Set and align manholes, catch basins, and related structures
Assist in trench safety setup and pipe bedding prep
Read grade stakes and follow layout instructions
Support the operator and laborers during backfill and compaction
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
Qualifications:
2+ years of pipe laying experience in heavy civil construction
Ability to read pipe laser, blueprints, and construction drawings
Familiarity with trench safety, compaction, and pipe materials
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Willingness to work in varying site and weather conditions
